"I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list."
Susan Sontag
I am a French photographer living in the south of France on the French Riviera between Nice and Cannes.
Travel and photography have become part of my journey to see the world in a new way and I’m pleased to share that vision with you. I love what I do, as well as the people and places I photograph.
The adventure that is travel & landscape photography continues to stimulate and challenge me. My aim is to take photographs that capture the reality of a place (as I see it), by shooting strong individual images that build on each other to create a comprehensive coverage of a destination, so that viewers get a sense of what it’s like to be there.
More than just exotic locations and wild adventures, travel & landscape photography is about seeing our surroundings with fresh eyes and childlike enthusiasm.
At its most basic, travel & landscape photography merely provides a visual record of the places visited. It portrays familiar destinations in unique ways, reveals lesser known places with equal import, captures the spirit of the people with dignity and encapsulates unique moments in time that surprise, inform and intrigue viewers. Ultimately, it inspires in others a desire to see the world for themselves, and to take their own photographs along the way.
As a travel & landscape photographer, my studio is the world outside my door and the only equipment required is a camera and a willingness to look for new perspectives. Lighting comes courtesy of whatever is available; sun, sky, clouds, street lights – travel photographers have access to it all.
I have been lucky to visit amazing places but I still have a lot remaining in my bucket list.
