The southern Portugal can be ugly and beautiful at the same time
I am back from a short trip in Algarve in the south of Portugal where I stayed four days not far from Faro.
The feelings I have got about this trip are a bit weird. I am at the same time disappointed and enchanted by this destination.
I found it ugly because the region (mostly the south coast) has been devastated by mass tourism which made many cities and villages lost their soul and charm.
On the other hand, I was delighted by some of Algarve preserved landscapes like the Vincentine coast at the north of Cape Saint Vincent.
